Thousands of people will flood the beach between Morro Bay and Cayucos on Saturday for the annual Miracle Miles for Kids.
The 10K race is a fundraiser for the Family Care Network, which supports the needs of foster care families in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties.
Activities begin at Morro Rock at 5 a.m. on May 11 with registration until 7:30 a.m. The race begins at 8 a.m. Runners will cross the finish line at the Cayucos Pier.
The post-race party in Cayucos includes food, music, kids’ activities, vendors, and an awards ceremony. It’s expected to wrap up around 11 a.m.
Race registration is $50. The Family Care Network is hoping to raise $150,000 at this year’s event.
