An investigation is underway in Santa Barbara after a man was shot early Wednesday morning.
Santa Barbara police say a man in his 30s was walking along the 500 block of Chapala Street at about 5 a.m. when he was “verbally confronted” by another man.
A confrontation ensued which resulted in one of the men being shot by the other.
Police say the victim was able to make it to a lobby nearby and get help. The suspect, identified as Terrence Roberson, 34, reportedly took off but was found a short time later on the first block of East Cota Street, according to police.
At the time of his arrest, police say Roberson was still armed.
The investigation is ongoing and no other information is being released at this time.
