Santa Maria residents will receive a 2018 water quality report with their next water bill.
According to the report, the city’s water comes from two separate sources. These sources were considered vulnerable to runoff, fertilizer leaching, septic tanks, sewage and natural erosion.
There were 52 sites sampled in the report, of those sites, only one was considered in need of treatment for excess levels of lead.
The report shows Santa Maria met all state and federal drinking water standards.
