The second annual Veterans Resource Fair will be held this weekend at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo.

Local veterans and their families are invited to this free event which aims to connect veterans with service providers in the community.

Organizers say veterans will be able to get help securing VA benefits, filing disability claims, obtaining information on spousal benefits and other services including health, housing, and employment.

The resource fair is being hosted by the San Luis Obispo Veterans Services Collaborative.

It’s scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 1. Parking is free.

The following workshops will also be held during the resource fair:

  • 10:45-11:15 a.m. – Scam Prevention for Veterans
  • 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m.- Coming Home from Combat
  • 12:15-12:45 p.m. – Helping California’s Heroes Get Hired
  • 1-1:30 p.m. – Mission Act

There will also be live music, food and activities for the kids.
