Animal lovers have the opportunity to taste wine among a variety of creatures with the first ever “Zoo to You” Luau Weekend Passport event presented by the Paso Robles Wineries of 46 East.
The event is a fundraiser for Conservation Ambassadors, which is an animal rescue program in Paso Robles.
David Jackson, Director of Conservation Ambassadors, said the fundraiser is invaluable to its efforts for animal rescue.
“We couldn’t live without it,” said Jackson. “Then they get to wine taste at as many wineries as they can go to see all the animals, maybe check them all off their list.”
100% of the proceeds for the event go to the organization, which takes in battered and abused animals and gives them a worldwide voice, along with providing them a permanent home.
The event features wine tasting with animal ambassadors that include a lemur named Peeves, Nick the fox, a gator named Bob, along with up to 25 other different animals.
There will be wine from 18 different wineries along with a Hawaiian-style Luau.
The event takes place on Saturday, June 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Click here to purchase a $25 passport.
