UPDATE (5:50 p.m.) – According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, four people were taken to the hospital with minor to critical injuries following a crash on Harris Grade Rd. Monday afternoon
The injured include the two female drivers and two children who were in one of the vehicles. One of the injured children was flown to the hospital by helicopter.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.

(5:37 p.m.) – An apparent head-on crash blocked traffic on Harris Grade Rd. Monday afternoon.
It happened just before 5 p.m. about a mile-and-a-half from the intersection with Highway 135.
One vehicle, a silver pickup, ended up on its side in the middle of the roadway. The other vehicle, a minivan, came to rest on the shoulder.
Emergency crews were on scene and working to extricate at least one person from one of the vehicles.
