One person was taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning at Highway 1 and Brown Rd. west of Santa Maria.

It happened at about 11:25 a.m.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Mercedes headed northbound on Highway 1 collided with a white Toyota Highlander and was then pushed into a blue Dodge truck.

The couple traveling in the Mercedes is reportedly visiting from Australia. The woman passenger was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Three other people suffered minor injuries, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
