Assemblyman Jordan Cunningham today named Tolosa Children’s Dental Center as the Assembly District 35 nonprofit of the year.
Cunningham presented the award to representatives of the dental center on the State Assembly floor today.
“The work this organization does for under-served youth on the Central Coast gives these kids a chance to succeed and feel confident,” said Cunningham. “I’m proud to honor Tolosa Children’s Dental Center for all the work they do for our district’s children.”
The dental center provides under-served kids with a variety of dental services. It has served the Central Coast for nearly 20 years helping to bring affordable and accessible dentistry to low-income youth.
“Lack of accessible dental care can have significant long-term impacts on a child’s life, and perpetuates the cycle of poverty,” said Cunningham.
Cunningham will be honoring nonprofits in the 35th Assembly District throughout the year, according to a press release from the assemblyman’s office.
