Wineries throughout the San Luis Obispo region are celebrating the start of summer by offering some new experiences at “Passport Days” in June.
Attendees of the weekend event will be able to enjoy wine and delights from 21 different venues in the area on June 21 and 22.
Ticketholders will be able to go to four wineries of their choice per day to partake in a tasting while indulging in the exclusive benefits.
Attendees will receive a complimentary wine glass and their wristband to track the journey from the pick-up winery location of their choice.
From there, the wineries will provide the complimentary tastings as well as several added bonuses. Stephen Ross Wine Cellars will host an “aroma bar” to test visitors’ sense of smell. Wolff Vineyards will have live animals on the property, as well as Syrah-infused meatballs to pair with some of the tastings. Saucelito Canyon Vineyard will host a rosé party complete with tacos and live music.
Barrels in the Plaza is another opportunity for wine lovers to experience a variety of new flavors from winemakers and local chefs on Thursday, June 20. Live music and entertainment will fill the background for the summertime event in Mission Plaza in San Luis Obispo.
Those interested in going to the Passport Days and Barrels in the Plaza can purchase tickets through the SLO Coast Wine website.
