5 people arrested in connection with Santa Barbara stabbing

Santa Barbara police announced Thursday that five people have been taken into custody on felony charges in connection with a deadly weekend stabbing.

Alberto Suarez Torres, 29, of Santa Barbara died at the hospital after he was found unconscious with multiple stab wounds early on the morning of Saturday, June 1.

The assault reportedly occurred in the 1300 block of Cacique St.

Police say they’ve since arrested a female juvenile and four adults identified as 31-year-old Angel Barajas, 19-year-old Igor Ortiz, 20-year-old Adelain Ibarra, and 18-year-old Alondra Ochoa.
