San Luis Obispo County Animal Services needs help finding homes for about 20 horses.

Thirty-three horses and one donkey were seized back in January from an area non-profit as part of an animal cruelty and neglect investigation.

Animal Services officials say most of the horses are now in good health and need new homes.

Two of them are being housed at Animal Services, while others are being kept at various locations, such as Redwings Horse Rescue and Sanctuary in Lockwood.

The horses are available for adoption at $75 each.
