High pressure is bringing warmer conditions to the Central Coast this weekend but cooler temperatures are expected heading into the work week.
Temperatures warmed up considerably along the Central Coast today with temps near 80 at some beaches, high 90s inland and triple digits in Paso Robles. The National Weather service is issuing a heat advisory for the Sacramento area and a Fire Weather advisory for northern California’s Napa Valley region, but no advisories have been issued at this time for the Central Coast.
Offshore gradients weaken Monday and Tuesday and a light southerly flow develops over the coastal waters which should bring cooler temps and likely some low clouds back up to the Central Coast.
A trough will replace the ridge around mid week and begin a cooling trend that should continue into next weekend.
Temps will drop back to normal levels Thursday and a few degrees below normal Friday into Saturday of next week.
