An 18-year-old gang member was convicted of multiple counts Monday and now faces life in state prison, according to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office.

A jury found Jonathan Isaiah Limon, 18, guilty of attempted first-degree murder, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and assault with a semi-automatic firearm for three separate incidents that occurred in Santa Maria.

In the first incident, on Dec. 14, 2016, Limon reportedly stabbed a rival gang member nine times. Then on May 5, 2017, he chased down a 12-year-old boy and robbed him of his hat and cell phone. On Sept. 27, 2017, Limon shot a third victim multiple times with a semi-automatic firearm.

Although charges against Limon were initially filed in Juvenile Court, he was ordered to stand trial as an adult.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on July 25, 2019.
