The Paso Robles Police Department arrested nine drivers Saturday during a DUI check-point on Niblick Road.
Police officers were checking cars between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m. Saturday.
In total, three drivers were arrested for driving under the influence and six were arrested for having a suspended drivers license.
28 cars were also cited for operating a car unlicensed, 18 citations were issued and five cars were towed.
Last year, the Paso Robles Police Department investigated nine DUI collisions that killed three people and injured seven others.
Drivers caught driving under the influence and charged with a DUI can expect to be arrested and fined about $13,500.
Police remind motorists that driving under the influence does not only mean drinking alcohol and driving. Prescription drugs, marijuana and other drugs can also be impairing.
