A local woman is gearing up to head overseas for a trail run like no other.
Brooke Warner is set to take off for Italy, as she is going to participate in a race stretching nearly 17 miles.
She will also face quite a climb, with six-thousand feet in elevation in losses and gains. Warner has been a part of several major races throughout her running career and says she will never lose her passion for it, especially when it means she gets to travel abroad.
“I love to run. I love to be in nature. I love to travel and I think that makes me the best version of myself when I’m doing that and I find that I have the strength that I don’t even know,” Warner said.
Cerro San Luis is where Warner can be seen running up and down around six times in a row for each session.
Warner earned fourth out of all women competing in her most recent international race.
