(Update) 7:45 p.m. — Fire officials say one person was injured after a fire broke out at a home in Templeton Thursday evening.
The fire was first reported around 6 p.m. on the 2500 block of Vineyard Drive.
Few details are being released at this time, but CAL FIRE SLO says one person was transported to a local hospital before firefighters arrived on scene. The extent of the person’s injuries are unknown at this time.
Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the property, but it appears the home is destroyed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
(Update) 7:20 p.m. — Firefighters contain the fire to the structure. Fire officials say there is no threat to the wildland nearby.

(Original Story) 6:11 p.m. –Firefighters are at the scene of a structure fire in Templeton.
It was first reported at around 6 p.m. in the 2500 block of Vineyard Dr.
CAL FIRE says the first units at the scene are reporting an approximately 2,000 square foot structure engulfed in flames.
Fire officials are calling for additional crews.
They say the fire is not a threat to nearby vegetation.
