The Career Center at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria is helping students suit up in order to land their future dream jobs.

The Career Closet is stocked with dozens of new and gently-used professional clothing items. It includes everything from shirts to slacks to shoes.

The goal is to save the students money while they look for a job, and helps those applying for positions in the workforce to dress for success.

“I feel a little James Bondish, feel kinda nice,” said Tyler Little, student. “It’s very confident, so I feel like when I walk in for some meetings or if I walk into an interview, I’m gonna walk in feeling just as professional as I want to appear.”

The Career Center also provides help with writing resumes and cover letters, looking for jobs and interview preparation.

All of the clothes provided in the Career Closet are available to students for free.
