Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center and Twin Cities Community Hospital jointly donated 5,000 servings of cereal and nearly $500 to the Food Bank Colation of San Luis Obispo County.

The donations that were collected during the annual cereal drive will help provide local children and adults in need with breakfast meals throughout the summer.

The two hospitals say that summer can be a particularly hard time for food-insecure families due to the fact that they can no longer rely on schools for meals.
