An assistance center has been set up to support residents of Casa Grande Senior Mobile Estates and members of the community following last week’s deadly shooting and fire.

Police say on Friday, Claude “Bodie” Adams shot and killed two men at the senior mobile home park in Santa Maria, then returned to his home and set it ablaze. Three bodies were found in the rubble, believed to be Adams, his wife, and his son.

The Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office Victim-Witness Assistance Program and the Department of Behavioral Wellness are now offering counseling services and victim-witness support to those affected by the incident.

The assistance center was opened from noon to 5 p.m. on Monday, June 24 and will be open again on Tuesday during the same hours. The center is located at the Atkinson Park Community Center at 1000 N. Railroad Ave. in Santa Maria.
