Santa Maria residents will be waving their pride flags for the 3rd annual pride celebration and resource fair.
House of Pride and Equality is hosting the event that focuses on advocacy, education and empowerment for marginalized communities.
Residents of all orientations are welcome to show their support for their community members.
“We want to welcome everyone to come and celebrate in solidarity,” says Jesse Funes, co-founder of House of Pride and Equality, “we want to remind ourselves that we have had a long struggle to have the right that we have now but we have to keep fighting together and an attack on one is an attack on all, so please come and have a good time and just love yourself.”
The event begins Friday, June 29 at 11 a.m. in the Town Center West parking lot.
There will be live entertainment, local talent and drag queen performances.
