Volunteers removed more than 160 pounds of trash this weekend from an old illegal target shooting site within the Los Padres National Forest.
The site is located near the Gibraltar Rd. trailhead for West Fork Cold Springs Trail.
The trash included broken glass, pieces of other items that were used as targets, and about 30 pounds of lead ammunition and bullet fragments.
The group of 20 volunteers was led by the Los Padres Forestwatch advocacy group.
