The cause of the fire is under investigation.

ORIGINAL STORY: Firefighters were battling a house fire that broke out near Shandon Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was reported at about 1:38 p.m. on the 300 block of Mesa Grande Drive near El Portal.
Initial reports showed a fence was on fire and the flames spread to a home.
The flames were reportedly knocked down about 30 minutes later.
No other information was immediately available.
