Another person has been charged in connection with a homicide on Santa Barbara’s Eastside last month.
The Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office announced Monday that Alejandro De La Torre, 23, has been charged with accessory to murder along with a gang enhancement and committing a serious felony offense while on felony probation in connection with the stabbing death of Alberto Torres.
Torres, 29, of Santa Barbara died at the hospital after he was found unconscious with multiple stab wounds in the early-morning hours of June 1 along the 1300 block of Cacique Street.
Five others, including a juvenile, were arrested and charged shortly after the stabbing. They have pleaded not guilty and are due back in court Aug 14.
De La Torre was scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning.
