An 83-year-old Orcutt man died after crashing into farm tractors near Guadalupe last week, according to the California Highway Patrol.

It happened shortly before 6 p.m. on southbound Highway 1 north of Black Road.

Warner Deutschman was heading south on Highway 1 at an unknown speed when, for unknown reasons, his minivan drifted into the opposite lane where it eventually hit farm tractors parked on the dirt shoulder north of Black Road, CHP says.
