A tree trimmer was injured in what’s being described as an electrical accident in Santa Barbara Monday morning.
It happened in the area of Bath and Los Olivos streets.
Santa Barbara police say they responded to the incident for public safety purposes and confirm power lines were involved.
CPR was reportedly performed on the worker who officials say was with Rancho Tree Service out of Bakersfield.
The company tells KSBY the man is doing better Tuesday and is still critical but stable. They say he was relocated to a burn center.
The California Department of Relations says Cal/OSHA was notified of the incident and is investigating to determine the cause and identify any violations of workplace safety regulations.
Rancho Tree Service would not disclose any other details about the incident or employee due to the investigation but says they have been in touch with Cal/OSHA.
