The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting a 3.3 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Isla Vista on Tuesday.
According to the USGS, the quake struck at 12:15 a.m. and was located in the ocean about eight miles west of Isla Vista.
People in the Santa Barbara area reported weak shaking as a result of the quake.
