A major collision involving three vehicles occurred near El Colegio Road and Stadium Road in Isla Vista.
Santa Barbara County Fire confirmed at least three people died and five others were injured.
Out of the five patients, two sustained major injuries and three suffered moderate injuries.
The incident was reported around 6 P.M.
Authorities had to extricate several people from the vehicles.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
