The 40 Prado Warming Center in the city of San Luis Obispo will open Saturday and Sunday nights due to cold and rain.
In a press release sent to KSBY, an official with CAPSLO says client check-in will begin 4:30 p.m. both nights at 40 Prado Road. The Warming Center closes at 8 a.m. the following morning.
Guests will be provided a safe place to sleep and a hot meal, according to the press release.
An official with CAPSLO says the Warming Center is also in need of the following donations:
· Large trash bags
· Disposable plates, bowls, cups, and utensils
· Coffee, tea, creamer, sugar
· Breakfast bars
· Instant Noodle/Cup of Noodles
· Large backpacks
· New socks and warm gloves
· Rain gear/ponchos/umbrellas
Community members may drop off any donations at 40 Prado Road.
