A moderate earthquake struck in rural Nevada near the California state line.
The 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck Nevada early Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake hit near Tonopah, Nevada, three hours north of Las Vegas, at about 4 a.m.
According to USGS, there have been 5 aftershocks within just 30 minutes of the initial earthquake.
Reports on the USGS show people from Fresno, Visalia and other cities in Northern California reporting that they felt the shake.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
