AARP is offering free tax preparation services in San Luis Obispo County.
The service is available to all seniors, low- to moderate-income residents and AARP members.
"This year is a little bit different because of the drop off method but we still want to reach out and help as many people as we can," said Tom Hill with AARP.
People can bring their tax documents to a specified location where they can be dropped off or scanned.
AARP says people will be notified when their return has been prepared and is ready for pickup.
In-person sessions are not taking place due to COVID-19 concerns and masks will be required and other social distancing measures in place at drop-off locations, which are located in Nipomo, Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Atascadero and Paso Robles.
All sites, expect for Paso Robles, require appointments. To make an appointment, call (805) 931-6308.
The Paso Robles location is located at the Senior Center, 270 Scott St. Drop-offs can be made Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. Forms and instructions are available outside the Senior Center.
