Santa Maria city leaders say the city is temporarily waiving all access fees to the Los Flores Ranch Park Recreational open space.
Along with the fee waiving, the city is also extending the park hours.
Beginning Wednesday, the park will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., with last entry at 6 p.m.
Previously, the park was open Thursday through Sunday, with a daily access fee of $3.75 per adult, and $1.60 per senior for visitors that reside outside of Santa Maria City Limits.
The city says this is an effort to meet the community's increased need for access to local space, trails and parks amid the COVID-19 restrictions.
Park staff are encouraging social distancing and reminding people to stay home if they are feeling sick.
The park is located at 6271 Dominion Road. From Santa Maria, head south on Highway 101, turn left at the Clark Road exit, turn right on Dominion Road.
