More affordable housing could be coming to Paso Robles.
The housing development that could be located along Creston Road would bring many new housing units to the area.
The site is part of the city's current housing element which aims to meet the state's requirement for what is considered affordable housing.
Some residents in the area are worried about what this could mean for their community.
"People using the road, people going to school, people picking up their kids, going shopping. It is going to cause a lot of problems," said Rich, a Paso Robles resident.
Along with providing more housing, the city also plans on improving Creston Road by widening it and providing a turn lane.
"We had traffic studies, had traffic engineers look at it, biologists, all of those kind of facets of the environment have been looked at," said Paso Robles City Planner Darren Nash.
The development is set to have a fitness center, a pool, and open spaces for children to play in.
The Paso Robles Plannning Commission invites the public to attend a meeting about the project Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Public Safety Center.
No word on how long the project will take to build if approved or what possible rent prices could be.
