UPDATE 8:40 a.m. - The CHP has released new information on this crash.
Officials now say the crash turned deadly involving a big rig and Nissan Altima.
They say around 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning the Nissan crossed lanes and crashed head on with the big rig.
Authorities ask you use alternative routes until lanes can be reopened.

All lanes on Highway 166 of Pine Canyon Road are blocked due to a collision, according to the CHP.
