AMR Santa Barbara County EMTs and Paramedics in addition to allied public safety agencies from Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties paid their final respects to EMT Emily Pritchett Tuesday through a funeral procession along the streets of Santa Maria.
SB County EMTs and Paramedics along with their local partners organized a procession route earlier this afternoon beginning at the AMR Headquarters on Skyway Drive. They drove through Hwy 135, northbound on Broadway, then eastbound on Stowell Road to College Drive. The procession ended at the Santa Maria Cemetery where Pritchett was laid to rest.
Emily was a long time EMT for AMR in Santa Barbara and dedicated her life to helping others in the community. After a long struggle with cancer, Pritchett died in the early morning of Saturday, September 12, 2020.
The community was invited to pay their respects to Pritchett while practicing social distancing along the procession route.
