A band is trying to make the COVID-19 pandemic a little more bearable.

The group usually plays together at church, but now they’re playing in a driveway on Woodland Drive on Friday evenings.

Band member Janice Goodwin said they started to play for their neighbors the second or third week of the pandemic.

Since then, they’ve had groups of sometimes groups of 30-40 people come out with lawn chairs to participate and dance, according to Goodwin.

"This has brought our neighborhood together so much and people have met one another who never knew each other, and we're watching out for each other here,” Goodwin said. “It's really brought this sense of something to look forward to.”

She said this experience been a blessing to be able to get to know their neighbors better and be able to do something kind.
