Arroyo Grande Chili's location to close

Posted at 3:56 PM, Dec 16, 2019

One of the last remaining Chili's restaurant locations on the Central Coast will soon be closing for good.

Store manager Ben Johnson tells KSBY News operating costs led to the closure of the grill and bar at 991 Rancho Parkway.

The business is open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m., but Johnson says they will close Tuesday whenever the food runs out.

About 30 employees remain. Johnson says the employees were all notified more than 65 days ago.

"(It has) been a pleasure to operate here and serve the community and we're all sad that we're having to stop serving and leave the area," Johnson told KSBY News.

He adds that other nearby Chili's locations in Paso Robles and Goleta have no plans to close at this time.
