Two people were arrested following an assault in Santa Barbara early Monday morning.

Santa Barbara police said officers responded at about 12:18 a.m. to reports of intoxicated people arguing on the roof of an apartment building along the 300 block of East Carrillo Street.

Police say they found three people fighting with each other, resulting in a 57-year-old man sustaining "significant injuries."

He was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Two other people involved, identified as Ashely Jolene Hamon Sharkey, 35, and Christopher Huntfox, 32, were arrested and booked at the Santa Barbara County Jail, police say.

Investigators say the argument stemmed from an incident that had occurred Sunday evening.
