Cars of all kinds lined up for the 27th annual Hot El Camino Cruise Nite in Atascadero Friday.
The event is a slow and controlled cruise on El Camino Real from Traffic Way to Curbaril Avenue that begins in the evening every year.
Event organizers warned that drivers could expect delays due to several closed streets.
The closed streets were El Camino Real, San Luis Avenue, Palma Avenue, East and West Mall and Entrada Avenue.
Those streets have been reopened.
Atascadero Police patrolled the event in their '55 Chevy Hotrod.
Other related events are taking place in Atascadero this weekend.
The Mid-State Cruisers Car Show is at Atascadero Lake Park on Saturday at 10 a.m. and the fourth annual Dancing in the Streets event is Saturday at 5 p.m. next to City Hall.
All of these Cruisin' Weekend events are free to attend. Food and drinks are available for purchase.
