The 47th Annual Atascadero Colony Days is still on for Oct. 1 through Oct. 4, featuring creative ways to celebrate safely during COVID-19.
According to the press release, the theme for the event is “Look How Far We Have Come, 100 years of Women’s Rights, Arts and Literacy,” and the sub-theme “We are Atascadero.”
Organizers said in the release the event will feature Atascadero businesses, families, and nonprofit organizations.
They are hosting a reverse parade on Oct. 3, in which viewers can walk or drive by to see the floats.
There will also be a barbecue fundraiser, held outside of the Atascadero Printery, on Oct. 3 as well. Tickets for the meals made for a family of four are $50 for tri-tip and $40 for chicken.
Colony Days will also host a virtual parade in which members of the community can submit a 7-10 second clip of them participating. These clips can be submitted to parade@colonydays.org by Sept. 28 and will be streamed on Oct. 3.
More information can be found on the event’s website.
