The city of Atascadero is inviting community members to attend a series of informational meetings to learn about the city's Downtown Infrastructure Enhancement Plan.
According to a press release from city officials, the plan aims to increase pedestrian, bicycle and vehicle safety, enhance the appearance of downtown, increase commerce and improve parking.
Officials say the plan will also encourage vehicles to obey traffic speeds, as well as connect the businesses on both sides of El Camino Real between Galaxy Theater and Rosario Avenue.
The first informational meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. on March 11.
The second meeting will take place at 4 p.m. on March 12.
The planning commission meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on March 17.
The fourth and last information meeting is set to take place at 10 a.m. on March 21.
All meetings will take place at the Historic City Hall located on 6500 Palma Avenue inside the council chambers on the fourth floor.
