Atascadero High School held its final goodbye for graduating seniors on Wednesday.
Since a traditional graduation couldn't happen this year, the school district organized a drive-thru graduation ceremony, including graduates from Atascadero High School, Paloma Creek High School, and Atascadero Choices in Education Academy.
The event was live streamed on social media and on KJUG radio.
Families drove their graduating seniors through the parade, while others could watch safely from home.
"Well, I just think it's a little weird to be graduating like this, like with driving through instead of the traditional graduation, but at least it's something rather than nothing," said Katherine Baillie, Atascadero High School graduating senior.
As seniors drove by, they handed a pre-printed card to a school counselor and their name was announced over the loud speaker.
