Atascadero Police and Fire host 'night out' with the community

The Atascadero Police Department hosted 'a night out' with the local police and fire department at Colony Square in downtown Atascadero on the evening of Oct. 28.

According to the press release, this event is meant to promote police and community partnerships.

"We want people to come see us and say hi to us and if they have questions or comments or concerns about what's going on in their neighborhood and their community," Sgt. John Taylor of the Atascadero Police Department said. "We can to give them that opportunity to come talk to us."

Emergency officials held a K-9 presentation and showed a fire prevention week video.

Afterwards, officials presented Hocus Pocus for attendees to enjoy.

Restaurants such as Roundtable Pizza, SLODOCO and Wild Fields Brewhouse were open for concessions during the movie.

The press release said this event is typically held in the first week of August, but was rescheduled due to the pandemic.
