To help local cancer patients during the COVID-19 outbreak, Santa Maria-based Babé Farms donated more than 100 boxes of fresh vegetables to patients at Mission Hope Cancer Center in Santa Maria on Monday.

The family-owned and operated farm partnered with Fresh Bounty and Gold Coast Packing in Santa Maria to deliver the produce, according to a press release sent to KSBY News.

“As longtime members of this community, we have seen firsthand the amazing impact that Dignity Health and Mission Hope have had on Santa Maria and California as a whole,” said owner of Babé Farms, Judy Lundberg-Wafer. “We were honored to support the medical community that has always been there for us, our friends, and our neighbors.”

A spokesperson for the Dignity Health Central Coast Division says Babé Farms is known for their wide array of colorful specialty lettuce, root vegetables and salad blends.
