Authorities are looking for the driver responsible for hitting a 93-year-old bicyclist in Goleta Monday and then taking off.
It happened at about 1 p.m. on the 5700 block of Calle Real.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office says the bicyclist was knocked off his bike and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment of what were described as moderate injuries.
The driver reportedly took off westbound on Calle Real toward Fairview Avenue in a newer model, four-door, dark-colored car.
Anyone with information is asked to call Deputy Rockwell Ellis at (805) 961-7518 or rme4608@sbsheriff.org.
