Lompoc police are asking witnesses to a crash involving a vehicle and bicyclist Tuesday morning to come forward.
It happened just before 6 a.m. in the southbound lanes of H Street near the Wye.
Police have released few details about what took place, citing the ongoing investigation, but say drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors.
The bicyclist was hospitalized with what were described as critical injuries.
