Construction crews in Santa Maria will start work on Blosser Road and West Main Street this week.
They're adding another right-turn lane. City officials say this project is designed to relieve congestion, minimize delays and improve traffic flow for cars traveling northbound on Blosser toward West Main.
Drivers should expect temporary, short delays.
Construction is expected to last through April. The city says the $500,000 project is being funded by sales and gas taxes.
