A bomb squad responded to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office Monday morning for reports of an abandoned backpack.
The sheriff’s office says the bag was discovered at around 10:30 a.m. at sheriff’s headquarters on the 4400 block of Calle Real in the Santa Barbara area.
The bag was opened and determined to be personal items, officials say.
No one was evacuated and the scene was cleared about two hours later.
