The man killed in a crash on Highway 101 Wednesday between Gaviota and Goleta has been identified as Apollo Owens, 34, of Buellton, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office.
It happened in the southbound lanes just north of Arroyo Quemada Bridge at about 7:40 a.m., blocking one lane of traffic.
Owens was the only person in the vehicle, which went off the road and overturned.
The California Highway Patrol says Owens was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A possible cause of the crash has not been released.
