On Wednesday, February 23, Lompoc Police Department patrol officers were dispatched to Surf Connection, a surf shop in Lompoc, after a front glass break alarm went off at approximately 2:00 a.m.

Officers arrived minutes later and found the business had been burglarized. The front door was completely shattered and stacks of jeans appeared to be stolen.

Based on surveillance from within the business and nearby surveillance cameras, the subject was last seen running into the parking lot of a nearby motel.

LPD Detectives were able to review more nearby surveillance later in the morning and established the room the suspect had entered.

Michael Limon was then contacted and confessed to the crime, according to police.

All of the jeans were recovered.

Police say he was arrested and taken to the LPD, but was later released with a citation due to the statewide emergency $0 bail policy.

The total cost of the jeans was $1,232.00. The damage to the window was $766.00.
