UPDATE (2:10 p.m.) - CAL FIRE says 8 homes were evacuated on Valley View Drive following a mobile home fire.
Fire officials say a mobile home was destroyed where the fire originated.
A second home nearby received exterior damage. Firefighters say the fire spread to nearby vegetation but was quickly put out.
The eight homes that were originally evacuated along Valley View Drive are no longer under evacuation orders.
Firefighters say a person in the mobile home that caught fire was able to get out safely.
CAL FIRE says one firefighter was injured while fighting the fire. This firefighter was one of the first on scene and suffered a minor radiant burn to the shoulder. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
CAL FIRE will be on scene mopping up for another 2-3 hours.

(1:32 p.m.) - CAL FIRE SLO is responding to reports of a structure fire near Avila Beach.
Firefighters say reports of the fire came in at around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Fire officials say that a residential structure along Valley View Drive is fully involved in flames with exposures.
